J-AIR Introduces Revamped Embraer 170 with New Cabin Interior and Free Wi-Fi Video Program Service

Tokyo April 14, 2016: J-AIR Corporation (J-AIR), the JAL Group (JAL) 100% owned regional airline subsidiary decided to revamp its Embraer 170 (E170) with new cabin interior.  

Additionally, J-AIR will provide free Wi-Fi videos program service. Customers onboard are able to enjoy those videos on their own Wi-Fi devices such as smartphones and tablets, starting April 20.

JAL will be striving to deliver more comfortable travel experience and convenience to customers.

1.  Upgrade of the existing E170 fleet

All of 17 E170 will be upgraded with new cabin interior including all-leather seats and new carpets within FY2016.

 

2.  Wi-Fi video streaming service

This service will start from April 20, and will expand to all E170 fleet.(E190 is expected to provide the same service from end of FY2016.)

Free video programs including various entertainments, sports and dramas are available for streaming on customers’ own Wi-Fi devices in the cabin.

Internet connection and earphones are not available for this service.
