JAL to Offer Virtual Experience to Boost Corporate Sales
Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. and NURVE, Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda City, Tokyo, President: Hideki Tada, hereinafter “NURVE”) today announced a new technology to experience JAL`s premium cabin environment via virtual reality to help increase corporate sales for the overseas market.
JAL and NURVE have conducted demonstrations at overseas airport stations providing customers an opportunity to virtually experience JAL`s premium cabin seats in order to stimulate the sales of seat upgrades at the airport. For corporate sales, the enhanced VR experience includes JAL`s premium seat products, as well as inflight meals and select cabin services. This new technology allows corporate travelers to experience a service that was only available via brochures in the past.
NURVE`s newest VR goggles are built slim and lightweight, enabling JAL to demonstrate the product at corporate offices and exhibition halls across the globe.
JAL and NURVE will continue to take on challenges to promote new services through technology.
