JAL GROUP TOP MANAGEMENT CHANGES - SUMMARY
TOSHIYUKI SHINMACHI - NEW JAL GROUP C.E.O.
TOKYO MARCH 10: Toshiyuki Shinmachi, currently president of Japan Airlines Corporation, the JAL Group holding company, was designated JAL Group C.E.O. today. The appointment is subject to the approval of the general meeting of stockholders in June. He will continue as president in the meantime.
He will take over as C.E.O. from Isao Kaneko, who is currently JAL Group chairman and C.E.O.
ISAO KANEKO - JAL GROUP CHAIRMAN
Mr. Kaneko is designated JAL Group chairman, subject to the annual shareholders' meeting approval in late June. Mr Kaneko became president of Japan Airlines in June 1998 and in October 2002 was appointed C.E.O. of Japan Airlines System Corporation, the JAL Group holding company established to supervise the integration of Japan Airlines and Japan Air Systems. After the integration of the two airlines was completed in April 2004, Mr. Kaneko became C.E.O. and chairman of the newly created JAL Group, and concurrently chairman of two new airlines, Japan Airlines International and Japan Airlines Domestic.

IN ADDITION TO JAL INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT
Another major top management change at the JAL Group is the appointment of JAL International president Katsuo Haneda to the additional post of president of JAL Domestic from late June, pending approval of the general meeting of stockholders. The current president of JAL Domestic, Mitsuo Komatsubara, will retire.
