JAL and Japan Post Expand Delivery Areas for Cool EMS Service to France
~ Number of post offices available for Cool EMS Service increased within Japan ~
TOKYO, March 20, 2015: Japan Airlines (JAL) and Japan Post have been providing Cool EMS Service*, the express delivery, from Japan to abroad since April 1, 2013. Two companies will expand delivery areas for Cool EMS Service to France from April 1, 2015, in addition to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. Meanwhile, number of post offices available for Cool EMS Service will be increased from 25 to 78 across Japan.
In France, Paris is famous for its restaurants and haute cuisine, and there are many Japanese restaurants, too. This is the first time for Cool EMS Service to reach European areas. JAL and Japan Post plan to gradually increase the service areas of Cool EMS Service.
Under the theme of “Embrace new Challenges,” JAL is striving to introduce more innovative products and services to its customers.
*Cool EMS Service developed by JAL and Japan post in April 2013, is the express delivery service at constant temperatures (0~10 degree Celsius) or below minus 15 degrees Celsius (Frozen type), using refrigerated containers and refrigerants, to the receiving countries. It takes approx. 72 ~ 80 hours from acceptance of the items to delivery.
