TOKYO April 21, 2015: JAL Group (JAL) announced today, the passenger traffic forecast for the annual Japanese “Golden Week” vacation that spans 9 days this year from Tuesday, April 28 to Wednesday, May 6, 2015.

Capacity during this period is 1.3% more on international routes and 3.0% lower on domestic routes compared to 2014. These represent an increase in the number of international bookings by 11.3% and domestic bookings by 9.6% respectively against the same vacation period last year.

The seat factor for JAL flights on Hawaii route is around 90.2% and approximately 95.3% for flights to and from Guam, thanks to the growing demand between Japan and leisure destinations compared to 2014. Total seat load factor is expected to be improved following the expansion of JAL SKY SUITE with the latest cabin interior onto more international routes, in addition to a significantly restoring travel demand on Southeast Asia routes than last year.
