JAL Group 2018 New Year Vacation Period Traffic Results
JAL Group carried a total of 194,847 passengers on its international flights and 787,290 passengers domestically during the 7-day New Year vacation period in Japan between December 28, 2017 and January 3, 2018.
On International routes, passenger count increased 2.7% versus the same period last year in line with a 1.4% increase in the number of available seats. Overall load factor increased 1.2 percentage points to 91.3% on the JAL Group’s international routes when compared to the same period last year.
The number of passengers on domestic routes increased 1.6%, where there was a strong demand for travel to/from Okinawa. Overall domestic load factor rose approx. 1.4 percentage points to 83.5% than previous year.
