JAL Updates Security Checkpoint Cut-off Time for Japan Domestic Flights
The JAL Group today announced that the security checkpoint cut-off time for Japan domestic flights will be changed to 20 minutes prior to the departure time, starting October 27, 2019.
As the number of travelers to Japan is forecasted to reach historic levels in the year 2020, the carrier is taking proactive steps to improve the infrastructures at Japan domestic airports. Currently, passengers traveling from Japan domestic airports can arrive at the security checkpoint up to 15 minutes before departure. With these new changes, passengers will be encouraged to arrive earlier to the airport and assist with on-time operations.
Domestic reservations purchased on JAL`s website will display the following notice, effective August 20, 2019.
Please pass through the security checkpoint 20 minutes before departure time.

Applicable Airports: Japan domestic airports
Applicable Flights: JAL Group Flights - includes flights operated by the JAL Group, codeshare flights operated by Fuji Dream Airlines and Amakusa Airlines.
