Far Eastern Federal University and Japan Airlines Sign Partnership Agreement

Far Eastern Federal University and Japan Airlines (JAL) have signed an Industry-Academia Collaboration agreement with the aim of developing academic and cultural exchange between Russia and Japan.
FEFU, one of the largest institutions of higher education in Russian Far East, has long been known as a prestigious school of Oriental Studies, including Japanese Linguistics, and has produced many outstanding graduates.
JAL established the Narita-Vladivostok route in February 2020 and is actively involved in social contribution activities in the Primorsky Territory; at a time when the route remains suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
FEFU, with its school motto of "Striving for Success", and JAL, with its knowledge and experience gained through the aviation business, will work together in the field of education to further develop human resources, while contributing to the development of economic and cultural exchange between the two countries.
1) Objective
FEFU and JAL aim to contribute to the development of academic and cultural exchange between Russia and Japan in the field of education. The collaboration includes the utilization of human and intellectual resources.
2) Cooperation and Collaboration
a) Conducting courses for students
b) Implementation of internship programs at the JAL office
c) Organizing joint cultural exchange events
d) Other joint activities as agreed upon by both parties
3) Activities Planned (Present)
a) Conducting courses for students about the airline industry and customer service, featuring JAL employees as lecturers
b) Implementation of internship programs at JAL office in Vladivostok
