Introduction of new in-flight service "SKY DELI by JAL" on Economy Class Haneda = Gimpo Route
JAL will launch a new style of in-flight meal service, "SKY DELI by JAL" in Economy Class on the resumed to/from Haneda-Gimpo route starting June 30th (Thursday), 2022.

In response to customers’ comments that "On short flights, they want an in-flight meals that are delicious and easy to eat", we have developed this menu based on the theme of "Providing a casual and rich space in the sky".The new in-flight meals are served in a cafe-style, which is easier to enjoy than the traditional tray style meals, allowing passengers to freely design their own in-flight experience. In addition to being served at your favorite time, "JAL CAFÉ LINES",JAL’s original coffee supervised by Coffee Hunter José Y. Kawashima, will continue to be available along with the meal in a paper bag. Please enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling time in the sky as if you were in a cafe.
In order to deliver new excitement and deliciousness that will satisfy our customers, we have prepared menus and snacks in collaboration with famous restaurants. Please look forward to the further development of "SKY DELI by JAL".
【Vol.1:DEAN & DELUCA Collaboration「Doughnut Sandwich」】
We will collaborate again (*) with DEAN & DELUCA, a select shop of food originating in New York.
We will serve DEAN & DELUCA’s popular "Doughnut Sandwich" arranged as an in-flight meal. We will also
offer potato chips(Calbee) with a crispy texture.

In addition to the reduction of plastic containers, the use of paper packaging will reduce the weight of tableware and packaging by approximately 95% compared to conventional in-flight meals,resulting in a reduction of approximately 70 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
