JAL has been selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index and the FTSE Blossom Japan
Sector Relative Index (* 1), two leading ESG investment indices. These are ESG-focused indices developed by FTSE Russell, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group. The Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), which actively promotes ESG investment, has adopted these indices as one of its investment criteria,
and investors around the world use these indices as important investment criteria. It is the first time for JAL to
be selected for both indexes.

The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is made up of stocks of Japanese companies that meet certain ESG criteria.
The FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index, a new ESG investment index adopted by the GPIF in March 2022, assesses disclosures in line with the recommendations of Task Force on Climate-related Finance
Disclosures (TCFD) and the quality of responses to risks and opportunities in transitioning to a low-carbon
economy, and JAL has been a constituent since the adoption of this new Index.

JAL Group's ESG Strategy
Under "JAL Group Medium Term Management Plan FY2021–2025 Rolling Plan 2022 (* 2)" the ESG strategy is positioned as a growth strategy for 2030. Toward the realization of JAL Vision 2030, JAL will create sustainable flows of people, and sales and distribution channels by solving social issues through its business activities,
thereby enhancing the social and economic value of the JAL Group and enhancing its corporate value. As for
addressing climate change, the company has been steadily implementing initiatives centered on the use of
fuel-efficient aircraft, reduction of CO2 in daily operations, and the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) (* 3).

Going forward, management strategy will continue to place its ESG strategy at the core of its business and aim to become the world's most preferred and valued airline group while solving social issues through its business activities.
