JAL Signs Support Agreement with Yuki Kawamura
- Supporting Yuki Kawamura as he takes on new challenges in the U.S. professional basketball league -
Tokyo, JAPAN – Japan Airlines (JAL) has signed a support agreement with Yuki Kawamura, who continues to take on challenges in the U.S. professional basketball league.
After joining the Yokohama B-Corsairs under a professional contract in 2022, Yuki Kawamura played for the team for two seasons until the 2023-24 season. In the 2022-2023 season, he achieved an unprecedented six individual titles in the history of the B.League (Japan Professional Basketball League). In the 2023-2024 season, he was selected as the Assist Leader and Best Five for the second consecutive year, leaving a remarkable record. Additionally, as a member of the Japan national team, he led the team as a playmaker in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 in the summer of 2023 and the Paris 2024 Olympics in the summer of 2024.
Following these achievements, in October 2024, he signed a Two-Way contract with the Memphis Grizzlies of the U.S. professional basketball league, becoming the fourth Japanese player to take on the challenge in the league.
