Strengthening the Digital Promotion Structure of the JAL Group

Tokyo, JAPAN - The Digital Technology Division of Japan Airlines Co., Ltd.(Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuko Tottori, hereinafter referred to as "JAL") and JAL Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hideyuki Koyama, hereinafter referred to as "JIT") will integrate their organizational structures as of April 1, 2025. Accordingly, JIT will change its company name to "JAL Digital Co., Ltd. (tentative name)".

To further accelerate digital transformation (DX) and achieve sustainable growth for the JAL Group while maintaining stable operation of the IT systems that are the foundation for the growth of all JAL Group businesses, JAL and JIT have determined that the best solution is to integrate JAL's Digital Technology Division and JIT's organizational structure.
From April 2024, JAL has centralized its DX strategy and consolidated its Digital Human Resources Management Division into the Digital Technology Division, thereby strengthening its ability to promote company-wide DX. JIT, as the core IT company of the JAL Group, has been providing various solutions to airport affiliates and companies in other industries while being responsible for the stable operation of the system.
By integrating the digital promotion system into "JAL Digital (tentative name)" and combining human resources with expertise, JAL Digital will contribute to the value creation of the JAL Group through DX. In addition, JAL Digital will continue to provide high-quality solutions not only to the JAL Group but also to all customers by leveraging the know-how and expertise cultivated within the JAL Group.
The JAL Group will continue to utilize digital technology to provide customers safe and secure travel, as well as new customer experience value. Additionally, the JAL Group will take on the challenge of solving social issues and driving change through DX.
