Tokyo, JAPAN – Japan Airlines and Garuda Indonesia are set to launch a joint business partnership on April 1, 2025, where the two carriers will cooperate commercially on flights between Indonesia and Japan.
Following the expansion of our cooperation in October 2024, Garuda Indonesia and Japan Airlines are committed to provide enhanced flight services to passengers through extensive integrated flight schedules, featuring seamless connections between Indonesia and Japan.

This Joint Business partnership also offers various benefits, ranging from more competitive special ticket price, and seamless experience for the passengers through the journey.
Sales for Tactical Fares
To celebrate the launch of the Joint Business between Garuda Indonesia and Japan Airlines, customers can enjoy special prices for flights between Japan and Indonesia.
Sales Period: March 7, 2025, to March 13, 2025
Travel Date: From April 1, 2025 onward

Codeshare Network Expansion
With a significant expansion of codeshare flights covering over 34 routes in Indonesia and Japan, customers will gain access to numerous new destinations. This expansion adds to the current codeshare flights, enabling both international and domestic travel operated by Garuda Indonesia and Japan Airlines.

Mileage Program
Passengers can accumulate and redeem miles in both JAL and Garuda Indonesia programs. JAL Mileage Bank members can earn miles on Garuda Indonesia flight and exchange the miles for Garuda Indonesia award travel tickets. Additionally, JMB Diamond members, JGC Premium members, and other FLY ON members can also earn FLY ON Program Mile-Up Bonus based on your service status on Garuda Indonesia’s flights between Japan and Indonesia.
