JAL's Sakura Lounge to Reopen at Chubu Centrair International Airport after Renovation

Nagoya, Aichi – Japan Airlines (JAL) is set to reopen its newly renovated Sakura Lounge for international passengers at Nagoya’s Chubu Centrair International Airport on March 31, 2025. The lounge was originally closed in March 2020, due to the suspension of direct international flights serving the airport during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originally opened in 2005, this is the first large-scale renovation of the International Sakura Lounge at Chubu Centrair. With a reimagined interior design, the food and beverage offerings have also been updated with new and exclusive items for guests to enjoy. For the first time at Chubu Centrair, the popular JAL Original Beef Curry–a staple at JAL lounges at Haneda and Narita airports–will be available to guests, along with Nagoya exclusives like hitsumabushi-style eel, kishimen, red bean & butter pancakes, and other special dishes.
With JAL’s 2025 summer schedule announced, beginning July 18, 2025, Honolulu-Chubu will change to daily flights, up from the current schedule of four per week.1 Like this, JAL is committed to providing convenient flight options and unforgettable services to guests from all over the world, including fresh and delightful lounge experiences.
