Japan Airlines and ANA HOLDINGS Announce Appointment of ICAO Global Ambassadors in Japan

Tokyo, JAPAN – Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) and ANA HOLDINGS INC. (ANA HD)announce the appointment of Ms. Kumiko Miyasaka and Ms. Tomoko Hoya as ICAO Global Ambassadors in Japan for the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The ICAO Global Ambassadors Programme, newly launched this year, is a worldwide outreach initiative that utilizes the expertise of prominent aviation leaders and role models to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals. Through this programme, closely aligned with the ICAO Strategic Plan 2026-2050, ICAO seeks to foster widespread participation in the aviation industry. The programme also aims to engage youth and women by showcasing the diverse and rewarding career paths available within the aviation industry.
Following a recommendation from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau, the two individuals below were designated as ICAO Global Ambassadors in Japan;
Tomoko Hoya (ANA HOLDINGS INC., Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer）
Kumiko Miyasaka (Japan Airlines Co., Ltd., Managing Executive Officer and Senior Vice President)
Moving forward, both individuals will serve as ICAO Global Ambassadors, engaging in extensive outreach and awareness-raising activities through educational institutions and international conferences. By drawing on their own professional experiences, they will create opportunities to inspire the next generation of young people and women to pursue careers in aviation and promote the vital importance of the aviation industry—which underpins global transport and economic development—both within Japan and on the international stage.
