 Japan Airlines (JAL) will accept applications for its "Overseas Internship Program" in Business Planning Track starting Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
In recent years, while globalization continues to accelerate, the number of Japanese students studying abroad remains at a relatively low level. Furthermore, due to the earlier start and prolonged timeline of job search activities in Japan, students residing abroad face increasing difficulties in participating in Japanese corporate internships, resulting in missed opportunities to secure employment with their preferred companies.
In response to these trends, JAL launched this program last fiscal year as a first-of-its-kind initiative by a Japanese airline. Students studying or living abroad highly praised the program as an invaluable way to experience JAL's frontlines and career opportunities firsthand.
This fiscal year, to provide participants with deeper insights through practical learning, a three-day in-person internship will be hosted across two cities: San Francisco (USA) and London (UK).

■ Program Features & Objectives

The program features a practical curriculum that includes department overviews at JAL's overseas branch offices, facility tours including airports, direct interaction with employees, and group discussions among participating students. Participants will gain firsthand exposure and practical insights into day-to-day operations and initiatives while leveraging their unique perspectives as students residing or studying abroad to explore global business and deepen their understanding of the value and core appeal of the JAL Group and Business Planning Tracks.

San Francisco (USA): January 19 (Tue) - January 21 (Thu), 2027
London (UK): Either of the following schedules:
① February 16 (Tue), February 18 (Thu), February 19 (Fri), 2027
② February 17 (Wed) - February 19 (Fri), 2027
■ Eligibility: Students currently enrolled or studying abroad at local 4-year universities, graduate schools, or language schools.
