JAL Group Applies for Revision of International Normal Interline Fares

Tokyo, December 26, 2008: Today the JAL Group filed an application with the Japanese Ministry of Land Infrastructure, Transport & Tourism (MLIT) requesting a revision of international normal interline airfares applicable only for Japan departures.

 

The revision will result in international normal interline fares for travel from Japan to the Americas and Hawaii increasing by 13%, to Korea and India increasing by 10%, and to other parts of Asia increasing by 7%.

 

The revision will take effect from April 1, 2009, subject to government approval. Fares for travel from Japan to Europe, Middle East and Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) have yet to be decided and are expected to be issued in February 2009.
