Short-term Adjustment of FY2009 Route, Flight Frequency and Fleet Plan

Tokyo, April 14, 2009:  The JAL Group (JAL) has decided to make a short-term adjustment of the FY2009 Route, Flight Frequency and Fleet Plan. This is following the announcement by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan on April 10, 2009, to increase the landing slots at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport for an impermanent period as one of the measures to support Japan’s airline industry during the current difficult economic environment.

Utilizing the new landing slots offered by MLIT, JAL will commence additional flights from Tokyo, Haneda to Hiroshima from May 08, to May 31, 2009, and following that, from Tokyo, Haneda to Fukuoka from June 01, to June 30, 2009. For the respective periods, flights between Haneda and Hiroshima will increase from 7 daily flights to 8 and between Haneda and Fukuoka from 19 daily flights to 20.

JAL will continue using the supplement slots provided, from July till the end of October 2009. Details of the additional flights for this period are expected to be announced by the end of this month.

Also in response to the enduring effects of the global economic crisis that has lowered the demand for international travel, for the period of June 01 to October 24, 2009, flights from Tokyo, Narita to New Delhi will be reduced from once daily to 4 times a week.

JAL will offer alternative flights and dates to passengers who have already made reservations on the flights subjected to change. The company apologizes for the inconvenience caused, and seeks the kind understanding of passengers in this matter.
