Japan Transocean Air Lengthens Validity of "OKINAWA Island Pass"
TOKYO, April 15, 2011: Japan Transocean Air (JTA) - a subsidiary of the JAL Group, today announced the extension of validity of the “OKINAWA Island Pass” launched in October 2009. Available to foreign tourists visiting Okinawa and surrounding islands, the pass can be used on any JTA operated flights plying five domestic routes within the prefecture southwest of Japan.
The “OKINAWA Island Pass”, initially valid 255 days a year, can now be used 340 days throughout the year following JTA’s application to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) today to lengthen the period of validity.
