Okinawa, located in close proximity to Taipei, offers diverse attractions including crystal-clear seas, rich nature registered as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, unique history and culture, as well as gourmet cuisine.
With the launch of this route, JTA aims to further enhance tourism and economic exchange between the two regions, providing a more convenient and comfortable air travel experience as a new bridge connecting Taipei and Okinawa.
Furthermore, by integrating with the JAL Group’s domestic and international networks originating from Okinawa, travelers will have increased opportunities to tour numerous destinations of Japan with Okinawa serving as their gateway.
JTA has long operated domestic routes linking Okinawa with various locations across Japan under the name “Wings of Okinawa” brand. Continuing this tradition on its international flights, JTA will incorporate Okinawan uniqueness into inflight services and offerings, enabling overseas customers to experience the charm of Okinawa firsthand. ■Expanding JAL Group’s Route Network with ‘Wings of Okinawa”
(1) Leveraging Naha’s Geographical Advantage for Multi-City Travel with Taipei (Taoyuan and Songshan) Routes
JAL Group’s integration of the Okinawa (Naha) – Taipei (Taoyuan) route with its international and domestic flights departing from and arriving at Naha enables travelers to enjoy multi-city itineraries connecting many regions of Japan with Taipei.
Take advantage of these diverse travel options that encompass Okinawa, mainland Japan, and Taipei.

(2) Enhanced connectivity to Okinawa’s Remote Islands around Naha
Around Naha, islands such as Kumejima and Miyakojima offer rich natural beauty and unique attractions. The JAL Group, with Naha as its hub, operates an extensive network connecting these remote islands.
Although geographically close, access between Taipei and the Okinawa remote islands has been limited. This situation has now significantly improved, making travel between Taipei and these islands much easier. Travelers are encouraged to take this opportunity to visit the remote islands of Okinawa and Kagoshima.
