The 15th installment features Tsuzaki Shoji Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Taketa City, Oita Prefecture; President & Director: Shoji Utoda) releasing the "Single Malt Kuju JAL EXCLUSIVE 2026" in limited quantities on international flights starting Friday, May 1, 2026.
１.About Kuju Distillery
Located in Kuju Town, Taketa City, Oita Prefecture, surrounded by the majestic nature of the Kuju Mountain Range, known as the "roof of Kyushu," Kuju Distillery began operation in 2021. Tsuzaki Shoji, a company with roots dating back to the Taisho era in soy sauce brewing and liquor sales. founded this distillery to realize a long-held vision supported by years of passion and craftsmanship.
A year after opening, the distillery released "Kuju New Born," which won the Young Spirits category at the World Whiskies Awards (WWA), capturing attention from whisky enthusiasts globally. Equipped with elegant pot stills made by Forsyths of Scotland, the distillery has also become a local landmark, admired especially for its enchanting nighttime illumination.
2. Product Overview: Single Malt Kuju JAL EXCLUSIVE 2026
This non-peated whisky blends first-fill bourbon barrel malt―aged three years―with new American oak malt, combining sweetness and boldness in harmony.
Tasting Notes:
A distinctive bourbon barrel character harmonizes with a woody aroma from the new cask, accompanied by refreshing citrus notes reminiscent of oranges and a pleasant, sweet finish.

●Sales Price: JPY21,000 (Limited to two bottles per person per flight)

●Eligible Customers: JAL international flight passengers
